Our History

Deborah's Place was established in July 2008. The name of the organization is in honor of Deborah Mosley my mother who has passed on as a direct result of the disease of addiction. There was a need in the city of Baltimore in is entirety for supportive housing for women, it was because of this need and the collaborative efforts of Melvin Harris and myself Shannon Lane-Harris, Deborah's Place was born. Our efforts were solely focused on providing supportive housing for women, as the years went on and more and more people began to seek help from drugs and alcohol  men and women alike, we began to serve both populations. The Park Heights Community is very important to us and we strategically placed our houses in this community. We are honored to be of service to the men and women in this city who are seeking a better life.
